Registered providers interested in using new awards developed under the Common Awards System (CAS) are
required to have their programme validated by FETAC before they deliver it to learners.
Award Specifications for Consultation
As part of the development and approval process for new awards, FETAC will publish award specifications for consultation along with the related sector needs analysis.
Migration of Existing Awards
FETAC is working in partnership with key partners to complete the migration of all existing awards to the Common Awards System. The aim of the migration activity is to ensure that all FETAC awards have a common format, structure, characteristics and parity of esteem across the range of major awards at a given level.Consult the Awards Plan Update November 2011 for the most recent information on migration activity.
