National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)
The National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) is a ten level framework that enables you to quickly see how one award compares with others. All FETAC awards are part of the National Framework of Qualifications and are placed at levels 1 - 6.
As an employer, understanding the Framework enables you to:
- recruit employees with the level of knowledge, skill and competence required and to accurately identify education and training qualifications to fit your requirements.

- get your in-company education and training certified. All qualifications on the NFQ are quality assured and the Framework supports the development and certification of all learning wherever it takes place including the workplace.
